When the opener stops working, the fix is sometimes simple. Here’s a quick troubleshooting order before you call a pro.
Start simple
Check that the opener has power and the wall button works (if the wall button works but the remote doesn’t, it’s the remote — try a new battery or reprogram it). Make sure the manual lock isn’t engaged and the opener isn’t in “vacation” or lockout mode.

Sensors and travel limits
If the door won’t close, clean and realign the photo-eye sensors near the floor. If it reverses partway or won’t fully open, the travel limits or force settings may need adjustment. Grinding with no movement can mean a stripped drive gear.
If these don’t solve it, our technicians repair and install all major opener brands the same day across Denver.
