The photo-eye safety sensors near the floor stop the door from closing on a person, pet or object. When they act up, the door often refuses to close or reverses.
Quick fixes
Clean the lenses, clear anything blocking the beam, and make sure both sensors point at each other. A steady light means aligned; a blinking light means misaligned. Gently adjust the brackets until both lights are solid.
